Saturday's Excerpt – Out Of Control

"But it hurts. The loneliness hurts so damned bad." Molly slowly shook her head. "Sometimes I don't think I'll make it through another night." She looked at Alex.

Instinctively, Alex grabbed her hands. "I'm sorry, Molly. I didn't mean to make you upset."

"You didn't. It feels good to talk to someone who understands, but I'm the one who should apologize." She gave Alex's hands a squeeze, but didn't let go. "I'm not very good company."

"You have nothing to apologize for. And yes, I know what it feels like to be lonely." Alex didn't realize that her thumb was slowly caressing the top of Molly's hand. She looked into Molly's lonely eyes and, before she could stop herself, leaned over and softly kissed her lips.

Saturday's Excerpt – Out Of Control

She noticed the small tattoo of an angel on Molly's bare shoulder and pointed to it. "I like that."

Molly laughed, tilting her head. "Thanks. I had that done when I was eighteen during my
rebellious years. I thought about having it removed, but never got around to it."

"I wouldn't…it's nice."

"Maybe I'll keep it then." She grinned. "I suppose we should get back to the others."

Alex would have preferred continuing to talk to her alone, but reluctantly followed noticing what a nice ass she had. With every curve in the right place, she was clad in a pair of tight-fitting jeans and a low-scooped blouse. Her body was slim, but her  arms and legs were muscular and Alex attributed that to carrying the heavy mailbags while walking her route. Her femininity couldn't be denied though. The perfume she wore was light and pleasantly filled Alex's nostrils.

Saturday's Excerpt – The Interview

"No one likes to be criticized. Besides, I'm supposed to be the one interviewing you."

A hurt expression crossed Shayla's beautiful face. "I'm only trying to help you. Look, it's late. I'm going to grab a shower then get some sleep. You can use the guest room down the hall third door on the right." She moved toward the hallway.

"I…I thought…." her voice trailed off.

Shayla's head snapped back around. "You thought what? You have a bad habit of leaving sentences unfinished. If you have something to say, please say it."

Saturday's Excerpt – The Interview

"What would you expect from me?"

"Expect? I would expect your love, friendship, loyalty…what the hell do you think I'd expect? What anyone expects in a relationship." Her eyes flashed. "And I would give you the same. If you know anything at all about me you know that those I love are fiercely protected by me from the media. If you've heard anything to the contrary it's not the truth. I've never allowed my private life to be made public."

"I'm sorry…I didn't mean to offend you, but sometimes one's private life does become public knowledge especially when that person is in the public eye."

"Don't believe everything you hear or read, Rae. My God, you're a journalist. You've probably twisted a few things around that someone has said before. You know, take a piece of this and that and maybe print a damning statement without adding what may have been said afterwards by way of explanation by the interviewee."

"Maybe some journalists do that, but that's not the way I operate."
