 Skye's closeness felt like Lara had just stuck her finger in an electrical outlet. She could almost see the sparks shooting out of her body. Her voice caught in her throat.

"You're burning up with fever!" Skye said, alarmed. "Do you want me to drive you to the ER?"

"No," Lara finally choked out. She looked into Skye's eyes. "I'm not sick. Ian doesn't understand."

"Understand what? Did you two have a fight?"

She nodded, then took the tissues Skye handed her and dabbed at her eyes before blowing her nose.

"Ian's just worried about you, Lara." Her eyes moved to the jewelry box. "It's still glowing and even brighter than before."

"Ian wants me to get rid of it…he thinks my grandmother was crazy."

 Chloe's face flushed. "I…I can't remember the last time we've been together. At least a month." She felt her face grow warmer. "It's not that I haven't wanted to, but she's been so busy that I'm usually asleep by the time she comes to bed," she added quickly. She'd never discussed her sex life with anyone before, but now assumed that Myra had. If Myra indeed had, did she make it sound as though it were all Chloe's fault? Or had she confided to her best friend that Chloe just didn't turn her on anymore?

Wrong Number 

Beth laughed to herself. She knew the conversation was veering into dangerous territory, but she didn't care. Tonight she was throwing all caution to the wind. It was time she herself let her hair down and explored some new territory. They were two consenting adults so no one would get hurt. If she couldn't physically have this woman here making love to her, then she was determined to steer the conversation to some hot and heavy phone sex. Kay sounded like she needed…no wanted the same release that Beth did. "Please don't be embarrassed. You're just expressing what you're feeling. I do understand how you feel." Sara nervously cleared her throat. "No, Joey wants to watch me make love with another woman." There she'd said it. She nervously awaited her friend's reaction. 

Tess's jaw dropped. "He wants you to do what? I'm not sure I heard you correctly."

Ana looked at the long slender fingers on Kelsey's small delicate hand. She yearned to hold her hand to feel the softness of it against her cheek. She couldn't let Kelsey know her true feelings, how she dreaded leaving her bed each morning, how sometimes she wished never to awaken to another long day. The weekdays weren't so bad, but the weekends were almost unbearable. Could she tell her how often she cried herself to sleep? No, she couldn't tell her any of those things. "Do you always make assumptions of someone you barely know?" she asked hoarsely.

The Warden 

"Have I done something wrong, Warden Barlow?" Kelsey asked in a small voice.

Jennifer smiled warmly at the young inmate hoping to put her at ease. She watched as Kelsey swallowed hard noticing her long beautiful neck. She felt the wetness between her legs as she imagined how it would feel to caresses that beautiful neck and kiss those full lips.

As she removed the phone from her ear, she heard Rachel’s voice pleading with her, but she knew there was nothing more to be said. She hung up the phone. Her tortured heart couldn’t take any more battering. All emotion drained from her leaving her cold and numb as though someone had just died. There was nothing left inside, but a deep dark hole where her heart had once been.
