Saturday's New Excerpt – The Three Of Us

Lily's eyes widened. "I wish I could have met her on one of her visits. She must think it odd that we're getting married and she hasn't even met me."

Caroline peered at her. "It's not your fault you were away on business when she visited. I haven't even had a chance to go back home for a visit since you and I met. I've only seen my mother twice since we started dating. She's as busy with her career as you and I are with ours, so she certainly understands." She brought Lily's face closer to her own. "Quit worrying. She's thrilled for us and excited to meet you."

Lily kissed her softly, but pulled back when Caroline tried to deepen the kiss.

"What's wrong, Lily?"

"You talk to her on the phone at least a couple of times a week." Lily shook her head. "We've been together for quite a while. I get the impression that you rarely, if ever, spoke of me." She bit her bottom lip. "When you talked to her earlier today did you at least mention our age difference so she won't be shocked?"

Saturday's New Excerpt – Heart's Desire

"I'm sorry. I just—"

"Want everything to be perfect for me because that's what you think I expect," Vanessa finished for her. "Well, it's not. I've never been able just to let go and not be under a microscope. This is the first time in my life no one is around to judge me. Please, let me enjoy this, honey." Her eyes softened. "Now, let's get the car unloaded." She tilted her head in the direction of the large bed. "Then I know how I'd like to begin our weekend," she added with a wicked grin.

Saturday's New Excerpt – Breaking Free

No, she couldn't let her mind drift and inadvertently let her feelings toward Katelyn be known. Beacher was a small town and even though Katelyn was friendly to her now, would she change her attitude if she found out that Izzy had ended her marriage five years ago to succumb to her hidden desires to be with a woman? How did she know how Katelyn felt about anything?

They'd had a short friendly conversation, but that was all it was. She had to keep her guard up. It would be easy if Katelyn weren't so damned attractive with a voice that felt like soft fingertips roaming over her needy flesh every time she spoke.

Saturday's New Excerpt – Behind Closed Doors

Impulsively, Summer reached out and patted Kera's hand. "You're right. We don't know what this has been like for you. But we want to make it easier."

Kera tingled at the touch. But just as quickly as the soft warm hand had been on hers, it was gone. But the touch lingered. "But you can't give me back the last two years of my life." She blinked rapidly as she looked into Summer's soft eyes.

Summer's face softened. "No, we can't Kera. But hopefully I can ease some of this loneliness for you." She patted Kera's hand again.

Suddenly Kera felt safe. It was hard to explain how such a simple gesture could make her feel protected, but it did. And a part of her was happy that Summer would be taking Karl's place. As much as she'd miss the sporadic rapport Karl and she had managed to build over the last two years, it would be nice to have a woman to talk to. But she could never tell Summer that she'd confided to Annette about her true identity. Just as she'd never told Karl. And she could never tell either of them that Annette was holding that information against her. Thinking about Annette left a bad taste in her mouth.

Saturday's New Excerpt – The Prize

"Okay, ladies, the first one pinned and it's all over." She motioned to a big boned woman Micki didn't recognize. "We've been fortunate that Ally McGuire, manager for LMW Promotions, out of California has agreed to act as referee."

Ally carefully eyed both women, then gave the signal for them to begin.

Jane advanced toward her, grabbing her shoulder, but before Micki could get her bearings, she found herself slipping and falling face down in the mud. She rolled and slipped out of Jane's grasp and got to her knees. She swiped the mud from her mouth as Jane advanced like a wild bull bringing her down again. The audience went wild as the women rolled in the mud. Micki took the opportunity when Jane briefly paused to wipe mud from her eyes to scramble to her feet. As Jane jumped up and ambled toward her, Micki managed to stay on her feet and reach out for Jane's wiry body. Jane's too skinny body easily glided away, but her bikini top caught on Micki's thumb and, as Jane scampered away, her top was left dangling on Micki's thumb.
