Kera was fatigued, but found after climbing into bed that she couldn't fall asleep. She cocked an ear as a soft sigh escaped from Summer. The scent of Summer lingered in the room. It was a fresh and very feminine scent, which mingled with the light fragrance of her perfume. It brought up a far too long suppressed feeling inside of Kera. Summer was an attractive woman and it had been a long time since Kera had been totally alone with the same sex, not to mention, far too long since she'd been intimate. Her mind drifted to the romantic nights Steffi and she used to share and the passion they'd felt when their love was unleashed. Her lips trembled. She'd never have that again. Steffi was gone.

Starlyn sat down, keeping her gaze focused on Micki, which in turn made Micki's usual cool demeanor seem like she was a bumbling idiot. Micki set the salads and bread on the table and poured two more glasses of wine. She smiled at Micki as she daintily brought her fork to her lips.

Micki stared down at her own plate and tried to avoid those hauntingly beautiful eyes. She felt something brush against her leg and almost dropped her fork. Starlyn had removed one of her heels and her stocking clad foot had brushed against Micki's leg.

"I'm sorry," Starlyn said.

"That's okay," Micki quietly answered, wondering if it really was an accident. The heat from Starlyn's foot lingered long after she removed it.

Alex didn't realize that her thumb was slowly caressing the top of Molly's hand. She looked into Molly's lonely eyes and, before she could stop herself, leaned over and softly kissed her lips.
