Saturday Blurbs – Destiny

Rachel Summers is tired of living in the closet with her partner Kerri Tabor. She yearns for the excitement of a big city where they can be open about their relationship, but Kerri is reluctant to leave Wilson Point. Kerri informs her that if she leaves, then their relationship is over.

Rachel sets out on her own to New York City, refusing to believe that Kerri has broken up with her, and assuming Kerri will be only too happy to join her after she settles in. Rachel lands a job, nice affordable apartment and a new friend Angela, but longs for Kerri.

Saturday's Excerpt – Sweet Surrender

A light tap on the door startled her. She pulled herself to her feet and brushed the tears from her cheeks. She peered through the peephole and was surprised to see Officer Hunter standing on the other side of her door. She drew a deep breath, ran her fingers through her hair, and opened the door.

"Can I do something for you, Officer?" Sawyer asked. She noted how different the woman looked out of uniform. Her silky blonde hair fell to her shoulders and she was tall, trim, and very attractive. She was dressed in jeans and a dark green blouse. She looked as hot out of her uniform as she did in it. Her deep blue eyes were friendly as she smiled at Sawyer.

Saturday's Excerpt – Katra

"For someone who previously said they didn’t want to influence my decision about Lily, you certainly seem to be defending her."

"I’m not. You’re the one who agreed to chat. There must be something about her that keeps you coming back night after night."

"We like a lot of the same things. But, still, she won’t share any personal details of her life with me." She sighed. "I’m tired of typing messages every night. She won’t even talk on the phone. Something is definitely off with her. I just wish I knew what it was."

"Maybe not. I’m sure she has a good reason for not wanting to meet yet."

"Whatever, but you’d think after two months we’d at least be talking on the phone."

Alison didn’t respond. Katra studied her while she finished her snack. She decided to change the topic. "Can I ask you a personal question, Alison?"

Alison looked across the table at her and then shifted her eyes making it appear that she was looking over Katra’s shoulder. "It depends on how personal," she said quietly.

Katra noticed Alison’s guard instantly go up. Her back stiffened and her expression grew rigid. "It’s more about me than you."
